From Kathryn: TRUNK SHOW: FROM TRADITION TO RULE BREAKER
A visual journey from my beginnings as a traditional quilter to the way my work is currently created. The steps along that path are available to any quilter and I will show you how to get there. How to begin breaking the rules, why you might want to, and what you should expect when you get there—even what doesn’t work–are all covered in this lecture.

January 21, 2017 -Workshop, Kathryn Schmidt Click here for registration form.

Are you ready to try Rule Breaking Quilts? With just a few simple unconventional techniques, you will be well on your way to mastering non-traditional quilting. Building on the techniques, you will learn how to put together the pieces into a finished design, all without a pattern, templates, or even pins!  You will enjoy frustration-free piecing, including easy, curvy sewing. The fun is in the process, where there are no mistakes, just alternate design decisions. No need for precision piecing—if a piece doesn’t fit, you just trim it smaller or add a hunk of fabric to make it bigger! Fun, relaxed, and easy as can be, and every quilt is unique.
